How it started

How David ended up in hyperbarics

When David Gumbleton's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, conventional medicine offered little beyond managing the symptoms. David went looking for anything that might help, and the search led him to hyperbaric oxygen - then deep into the research behind it, to understand it properly. He went on to certify with the International Board of Undersea Medicine.

What he found convinced him it was worth doing properly. He opened Thrive Bath, one of the UK's first dedicated hyperbaric clinics, and has run chambers there every day since, working alongside an elite sports team, Bath Rugby. When he came across HPO.TECH, the chambers were finally built to the standard the clinic demanded. Thrive Hyperbaric grew from there.

David went through the full range of hyperbaric chambers. Only HPO.TECH met the standard.
The manufacturer

Built by HPO.TECH in Istanbul

The chambers are engineered and built by HPO.TECH at their own facility in Istanbul - every unit made in-house, under their own quality control and protected by their own patents.

They are built to the standards that apply to pressure vessels with people inside them: CE marking and ISO 13485 medical-device quality, PED pressure-equipment certification, ASME PVHO for vessels that hold people under pressure, and independent inspection by Türk Loydu before each unit leaves the factory.

HPO.TECH also supply hospitals, and hold medical-device approval for their chambers across a range of countries - among them the EU, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.

We work hand in hand with HPO.TECH on every project - specification, customisation, installation and training - so you get the manufacturer's engineering and the manufacturer's price, with a specialist team managing the detail around it.
